The co-founder and guitarist of Queen, Brian May, recently posted a series of illustrations of himself on his Instagram account and thanked a digital artist who cheered him up and reminded him of the rockstar that still lives somewhere inside him.
Brian May is one of the rockstars who enjoy using their social media accounts the most. In specific, Brian May prefers to use his Instagram account when he wants to announce his upcoming projects as a musician, scientist, and entrepreneur, to raise awareness on important social matters, and to interact with his devoted fans.
Recently, Brian May had made it to our headlines with his heart-breaking message considering the postponement of Queen + Adam Lambert’s tour dates. It was clear that Brian May was filled with disappointment and frustration but his fans were apparently there to cheer him up.
A digital artist named Sarah Rugg created ten illustrations of May and reminded him why he should never give up or lose faith. In the caption, May thanked Sarah for her ‘prodigious work’ which made him very happy and reminded him that ‘this figure is still somewhere inside me.’
Here’s what Brian May said in the caption of his recent Instagram post:
“Please swipe 10 times – to be dazzled by the prodigious work of this one artist. Sarah Rugg – thank you for cheering me up – and reminding me that this figure is still somewhere inside me. Bri”
