Queen guitarist Brian May remembered the death anniversary of his beloved friend and the iconic frontman of the band, Freddie Mercury, by sharing a new post on his official Instagram account.

Back in 1982, Freddie Mercury was showing the symptoms of HIV, and the British press reported in 1986 that Freddie’s blood test came positive for AIDS. According to Freddie’s boyfriend at the time, Jim Hutton, Freddie diagnosed with AIDS in 1987. On November 24, 1991, Freddie passed away due to bronchial pneumonia, which caused by AIDS.

In order to remember Freddie’s legacy and what he did for the world, his bandmate and friend Brian May shared a rare picture of the legendary vocalist on Instagram. May also revealed his feelings about the late icon in the caption of his post with touching words.

Brian stated that he has been missing Freddie for almost thirty years after his death and paid his tribute to one of the best frontmen in the world. May also didn’t forget to pray for Freddie’s soul.
