The co-founder and lead guitarist of Queen, Brian May has supported his wife, Anita Dobson, who starred in the innovative mini-opera based project of The Guardian about this pretty tough COVID year.

As we enter into 2021, the British daily news website, The Guardian, has summed up the whole year in a creative musical film written by the Olivier Award winner James Graham and produced in partnership with the National Theatre.

The project, which aims to reset for the year ahead, was put by the unique performances of a multi-generational cast that reflects on their lives and the impact 2020 has had on them mentally.

Along with the professional stage actors, the successful stage, film, and television actress, Anita Dobson, has taken part in the short movie to give some hope to people all around the world for the new year.

The biggest supporter of Dobson, Brian May has shared a section from the 5-minutes-long film on Instagram. May said the video features Anita in a very different role from what his fans just saw in the sneak peek he posted.

Here’s what Brian May said in his recent Instagram post:

“We Begin Again. Check out this innovative mini-opera based on the Covid Year. Production by The Guardian – and to see the whole thing, visit their website. Featuring Anita in a very different rôle from what you just saw. Bri.”
