Queen guitarist Brian May shared a post on his official Instagram account revealing that he felt upset after golden Brian May’s sixpences were sold out in 6 hours before May got the opportunity to announce them to his fans, however, the silver sixpences are on their way.
Two days ago, a limited-edition 2020 gold plated double sided sixpences featuring Brian May heads and Red Special tails were launched on the official website of Queen and the brand new sixpences were sold out within 6 hours.
According to Brian May’s recent post on his official Instagram page, May got upset because of the fact that he did not get the chance to announce the golden Brian May sixpences to his fans through his official social media accounts before they got even ready for sale.
However, May gave his fans another exciting opportunity to purchase a brand new sixpence, the silver edition of the 2020 Brian May sixpences will be on sale tomorrow on Queen’s official website.
Here is what May said:
“This the season for gold BM sixpences! I’m a little upset that I didn’t know these were going on sale yesterday because I like to take care of my people and I would have let you know first. They all sold out in 6 hours – and I don’t have one yet!
Well, I think there was a mix-up in the order anyway so I will try to put things rights. However, I can reveal – and you are the first to know – the silver ones (actually cupro-nickel or whatever as usual) will go on sale tomorrow at the QOL shop. On sale at 9 am tomorrow! With love – Bri.”
