Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello had a new conversation on his verified Twitter account and responded to some follower’s harsh criticism about the ticket price of the band’s reunion tour.
As you might remember, last week, fans got really pissed after Rage Against The Machine announced the ticket prices of their upcoming tour, and Tom Morello made an explanation on Twitter.
Here is what he said earlier:
“The MOST expensive ticket for ANY Rage Against The Machine/Run the Jewels headline show is $125 US (plus service fees) with the exception of CHARITY tickets where 100% of the additional proceeds go to charity. ANY other ticket at ANY other price is from SCALPERS.”
Today, yet another fan posted a new tweet mentioning Tom Morello, and he claimed that he’s charged $923 + fees for just two tickets.
Here is what a user named Tampacrapsman wrote:
“This is a “Charity” ticket Tom??”
Tom Morello responded to the fan and stated that they raised over $3 million for charity.
Here is his response:
“Yes. Read it. 10% of all tix [are] reserved for charity. 100% of money above base price on each ticket goes to charities in that city.
Charity price fluctuates to counter scalping. When we have final numbers will list charities. Over $3m raised for charity in the first 48 hrs.“
