The official Instagram page of Red Hot Chili Peppers and the iconic bassist of the band, Flea, have posted some special photos of the drummer, Chad Smith, to celebrate his 59th birthday with the most sincere wishes.

As one of the most special days for the Red Hot Chili Peppers family, the birthday of the band’s longtime drummer Chad Smith, has finally shown up, Smith’s bandmates have taken Instagram to wish a happy birthday to him, as well as to praise him with some lovely messages.

The official account of the band has shared a really cool picture of Smith on drums and called him the hardest hitting and the hardest working drummer out there. Right after the band’s happy birthday post, one of the closest friends of Chad Smith and also a bandmate of him, Flea, has honored him.

With a funny photo of themselves, in which they look almost identical, Flea has expressed his admiration and love for Chad Smith. Flea called Smith his brother in rhythm, whose steady groove keeping him honest all these years.

Chad Smith, who has been the drummer of Red Hot Chili Peppers since 1988, also plays for the hard rock supergroup Chickenfoot, formed in 2008, and of the all-instrumental outfit Chad Smith’s Bombastic Meatbats, formed in 2007.

Here’s what was said in the recent Instagram post of the official page of Red Hot Chili Peppers:

“Happy Birthday to the hardest hitting and hardest working drummer out there, Chad Smith. We 🖤❤️ u Chad.”

The bassist of the band, Flea, also celebrated Smith’s birthday in his personal account by saying:

“Chad my brother in rhythm. I love you, your steady groove keeping me honest all these years. Happy birthday homie, here’s to many more.”
