Red Hot Chili Peppers bass guitarist Flea responded to a tweet comparing the bass guitar skills of him and Les Claypool on his official Twitter account.

In a recent tweet he posted, Flea wanted to express his opinion about the match between San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers, saying that Dodgers are better than Giants. As a response to Flea’s tweet, one of the fans made a similar comparison, but it was between Flea and Les Claypool.

The Twitter user claimed that Les Claypool is a better bass guitarist than Flea and tried to humiliate the Chili Peppers’ founding member. However, Flea wasn’t really bothered about this comment at all.

Flea stated that there are lots of musicians who are better bass guitarists than him, so it wouldn’t be hard to make a comparison like that. Furthermore, his fans added in the comment section of his tweet that the bass guitarist didn’t really become a legend due to his bass guitar skills, but he made a name for himself due to his creativity and unmatched playstyle.

After seeing the comparison between him and Les Claypool, Flea replied:

“Lots of people are better bass players than me, that’s easy.”
