Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea shared a post on his official Twitter page commenting on the reaction of The Beatles members when one of the most innovative and commercially successful acts of all time, Earth, Wind & Fire covered their song, ‘Got To Get You Into My Life.’

‘Got To Get You Into My Life’ was first released in 1966 on The Beatles’ seventh studio album named ‘Revolver.The song was written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney.

12 years later, a cover version of the iconic Beatles’ song was issued as a single by Earth, Wind & Fire in July 1978. The cover won a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist in addition to its nominations for a Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. The cover version was often referred to as a ‘great remake.’

Recently, the multitalented musician, Flea shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing his opinion about the cover version of The Beatles’ song by Earth, Wind & Fire. Apparently, Flea is a huge fan of Earth, Wind & Fire since he stated that The Beatles must have been stoked when they covered one of their songs.

I bet the Beatles were stoked when Earth Wind and Fire covered Got to Get You into My Life.”
