Red Hot Chili Peppers bass guitarist Flea celebrated the 63rd birthday of legendary vocalist Nick Cave by sharing a new post on the official Instagram account and revealed how a hypnotizing musician he is.

In the caption, Flea pointed out that there are few musicians who could be able to touch Flea’s heart no matter what he is feeling and said that their music is giving him hope and helping him to escape the labyrinth. Moreover, he started to reveal these musicians.

He mentioned the musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, George Clinton, Thomas Houseago, and many more. While praising the talent of these iconic musicians, he also revealed his favorite one for his followers.

Flea stated that he spent lots of time to listen to Nick Cave and wrote that Nick is the favorite musician of Flea between these icons. While celebrating his birthday, Flea also stated that he is so lucky to see Nick exist and showed his admiration for Nick in this way.

Here is what Flea said:

“There a few musicians/writers/artists to have walked this earth who connect with me viscerally every time no matter what. Who (no matter my mood, regardless of my own sadness, fear and loneliness) awaken my highest self, lift me up, give me hope, and hold my hand through the labyrinth.

They cut through all the pathetic cruelty and hypocrisy with the sheer power of color and shape. The ones I can think of now are Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, Toni Morrison, Mikhail Bulgakov, Jean Michel Basquiat, Francisco Goya, Billie Holiday, Thomas Houseago, George Clinton, and Nick Cave.

The countless hours I have spent enrapt in a cocoon of feeling, hypnotized by anyone of Nick Cave’s musical incarnations are an anchor for my survival. I am so happy he exists, he’s just my fucking favorite, and today I celebrate his birthday!”

System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian added this comment:

“Happy birthday to the man from the Birthday Party! Flea, well said brother.”
