The founding member and bassist of the legendary band Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea shared a picture of Lebron James and Anthony Davis on his official Instagram page and celebrated his all-time favorite team’s championship.

As you may know, Flea is a huge fan of the iconic basketball team Lakers, and he even claimed to be the greatest NBA analyst of all time on his official Twitter page once. To cherish his love for the Los Angeles Lakers, Flea even got a tattoo on his right arm which says ‘Go Lakers!’ Flea states that he watches every game and his admiration for the Lakers shows itself from every aspect of his life.

Los Angeles Lakers, one of the most successful teams in the history of the NBA, added another championship trophy to their shelves and made their championship score 17 total. Lakers rose from their ashes and fans are thrilled to see another championship from the legendary team.

A fan who is apparently going crazy over this long waited championship is the Red Hot Chili Pepper’s Flea. He shared a post on his official Instagram page and stated that he is bursting with happiness thanks to the Lakers’ win. Flea referred to the Lakers as his beloved and shared Lakers’ last championship memories.

Here is what Flea said about the Lakers’ championship:

“Basketball is so beautiful, and, like all fine arts, a metaphor for all that uplifts or ails humanity. I’m bursting with happiness for my beloved Lakers to win the championship last night. All that bubble ball was some of the purest, top-notch, intense, cerebral hoops I have ever seen in my life, and led by Lebron James they vanquished all opponents to take it the trophy. Lebron has the ability to go beyond physical exhaustion and tap a divine source, it’s a magical thing to see and my heart soars with joy. The last time the Lakers won it was ten years ago, I was in Staples Center going out of my mind with joy, as the hated Celtics slinked away into the darkness. Kobe, Meta World Peace, and Pau Gasol rose up, beaming light to the stars. A couple of years before that, they won it and I was in London playing with Patti Smith and the great Ornette Coleman, I sat alone in a 4 am hotel room, teary-eyed, my heart full of purple and gold. Patti understood. So many incredible Laker memories, they are part of who I am. I’ve loved the Lakers since I was a little boy, and this one, for the memory of Kobe and Gianna Bryant was the best of all. Lakers 4 life.”
