Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea posted a photo of Shock G on his Instagram to say goodbye after finding out about his friend’s unexpected death.

Shock G was the frontman of the American alternative hip-hop band ‘Digital Underground’ and was also known for his collaborations with 2Pac. He proved his unique talent with ‘The Humpty Dance’ and being and co-producer of 2Pac’s debut album ‘2Pacalypce Now.’ According to his father, Shock G was found dead in a hotel room in Tampa. The cause of death is unknown for now.

After hearing the sad news, Flea was one of the stars who sent a farewell message to Shock G. alongside other musicians like Ice Cube, Viola Davis, and Leslie Jones. He praised his works and expressed how talented he was. Flea was grateful for his kindness and for the joy of listening to his songs. It was one last farewell to his dear friend till they meet again.

Here’s what he wrote:

“Thank you for all the joy Shock G. What an inventor you were, what deep funk! No one else bridged the gap from funkateer to hip hop MC like you. So many times I danced to your jams with an unfettered heart. You rocked it hard and it will last forever. Every time we spoke you were interesting, interested, kind and looking forward. I love you.
