Red Hot Chili Peppers bass guitarist Flea celebrated the 76th birthday of The Who guitarist Pete Townshend via his official Instagram account.
To celebrate this special day, Flea shared an old but gold picture of Pete where the iconic guitarist flying around on the stage. Afterward, Flea wanted to share his opinion about Pete.
In the caption, Flea mentioned that he saw The Who live a couple of years before he started to learn the bass guitar and said that he wanted to be a jazz trumpet player before meeting Pete.
Furthermore, Flea pointed out that he saw the spirit and moves from Pete on the stage and realized that if he ever be on the stage, he will definitely be like Pete and stated that that’s all he has ever tried to do.

“I saw The Who perform a couple of years before I started playing bass and joined a rock band.
I still just wanted to be a jazz trumpet player for my life but when I witnessed Pete Townshend channeling the great spirit and dancing wild rhythms around the Forum stage, I thought, ‘If I ever play in a rock band I wanna be like him.’
It’s all I’ve ever tried to do. Happy birthday to the transcendent Pete Townshend.”
