On Instagram, Red Hot Chili Peppers bass guitarist Flea congratulated the assistant coach of NBA team San Antonio Spurs, Becky Hammon, for being the first woman who has become the head coach of any NBA team.

During a recent match between Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs, the head coach of Spurs Gregg Popovich sent off in the second quarter, and Becky picked up the head coach role.

At that moment, she becomes the first woman head coach in the history of the NBA. Afterward, Flea wanted to celebrate this special day for both basketball history and Becky, and he congratulated Becky for her great achievement as he showed his support for her.

While saying what exciting and great news this is, Flea also stated that we should need to see this kind of news more often these days. The iconic guitarist showed his support for gender equality in this way.
