Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen posted a video on his Instagram account to give the exciting news of his collaboration with former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum in order to help the music industry workers who suffered a lot due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As you might know, Rick Allen was involved in a car accident on New Year’s Eve in 1984. After losing control of the car, Allen was thrown from his vehicle since his seatbelt wasn’t properly fastened. As a result of the accident, Rick lost his left arm. However, this unfortunate accident didn’t stop him to do what he loved. Rick Allen decided to continue playing drums with Def Leppard using a specially-designed drum kit.

Known as one of the most inspiring musicians of the community, Allen announced a new collaboration with former Guns N’ Roses Matt Sorum to help the musicians and all music industry workers who have suffered financially and mentally due to the coronavirus pandemic. The iconic drummers will take part in the ‘Big Love Benefit’ concert which is organized by Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.

In their recent Instagram posts, Rick Allen and Matt Sorum invited fans to join them for a live event on Instagram during which they will be talking about rock and roll as well as the upcoming concert, ‘Big Love Benefit.’

Here’s what Rick Allen wrote in the caption of his video:

What can I say… it’s Matt Sorum 🙏🏼❤️🌈”

Here is how Matt Sorum announced his collaboration with Allen:

Join me and my friend, Rick Allen of Def Leppard, tomorrow on IG Live here at 4:30 pm pacific talking about all things RNR and the upcoming Big Love Benefit concert with Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.”
