Metallica’s bassist Rob Trujillo talked about the new Metallica album and spoke about the bass guitar solo he wrote for Cliff Burton on their new album.

Speaking in an interview with Aggressive Tendencies, Rob said he dedicated the song “ManUNkind” to Cliff Burton in the new album. At the entrance of the song there is a nice bass guitar solo.

He said:

“When I had written that, I was definitely thinking about Cliff. In a way, that to me is a tip of the hat to Cliff Burton and the spirit of Cliff. If you hear that little thing before ‘ManUNkind‘, for me personally, that was with Cliff in mind.”

ManUNkind is the only song written by someone other than James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich in the credit section of the “Hardwired… To Self-Destruct” album.
