The legendary heavy metal musician and filmmaker, Rob Zombie has commemorated his long-time friend and partner in lots of his film projects, the actor and producer Sid Haig, on his death anniversary.

As Rob Zombie has recalled the premiere time of his latest movie, ‘3 From Hell,’ recently with an Instagram post, he didn’t forget to post some special pictures from the film sets he worked together with Sid Haig, most notably known by his role as Captain Spaulding in Zombie’s horror movies.

Rob Zombie said about the icon of horror cinema that it’s been one year since he departed. He added, hopefully, Spaulding will keep him alive for the next generation to enjoy his work while remembering three of their films, ‘House of 1000 Corpses,’ ‘The Devil’s Rejects,’ and ‘3 from Hell.’

Consturcting the Firefly trilogy of Rob Zombie, ‘House of 1000 Corpses‘ is the first film which was released in 2003 as a product of black comedy and horror genres. It is followed by ‘The Devil’s Rejects‘ in 2005 which is centered on the run of three members of the psychopathic antagonist family from the previous film.

3 from Hell‘ marked the final installment in the Firefly trilogy. It came out in 2019 and received a mixed response from film critics. This was the last film of Haig’s that was released in his lifetime before his death in September 2019, 5 days after the film’s release.

The successful actor, Sid Haig, who also appeared in many television programs, including ‘The Untouchables,’ ‘Batman,’ ‘Gunsmoke,’ ‘Mission: Impossible,’ and ‘Star Trek,’ was hospitalized after falling at his home in Thousand Oaks, CA, in early September. He died on September 21, 2019, at the age of 80.

Here is what Rob Zombie said about Sid Haig in his latest Instagram post:

Been one year since our old buddy Sid left us. Hopefully Spaulding will keep him alive for the next generation to enjoy his work.
