Metallica icon Robert Trujillo’s 15-years-old son and also a talented bassist just like his father, Tye Trujillo, has posted a recent Instagram Stories video on his official Instagram page today and showed off his amazing bass guitar skills once again.

As you might check out the video below that Tye is jamming with his musician friends; Los Angeles-based rock band member Steven Shinn and yet another talented guitarist Luke Tyler Shelton.

This is not the first time Robert Trujillo’s son Tye Trujillo showed his talents to the music community. Back in 2017, when he was just 12-years-old, he joined Korn’s Fieldy on the South American leg of Korn’s tour and replaced the band’s bassist Reginald Arvizu.

Here is what Korn wrote about Tye in those days:

“Korn’s longtime bassist Reginald ‘Fieldy’ Arvizu had to ditch the trek due to unforeseen circumstances. We are bummed Fieldy can’t join us on this run but excited to do a few gigs with a young player like Tye.”

This year, in a rare interview, Rob Trujillo clarified how his son got the gig with Korn:

“The Korn gig didn’t just get handed to him, he had to prove himself, and he was 12. But the thing that was really interesting about that was – I was gone on tour most of the time, I was away.

And he really put in the time and energy to learn the songs on his own. He’s very mature about it. He got together with Munky, and they had their own kind of rehearsal here at the house, and I was just sort of there to provide water, milk and cookies.”
