Roger Taylor, the drummer of the legendary band Queen, shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing that Live Around the World is number one and hoping that it makes up the delayed tour dates.
On March 31, 2020, the official website of the Queen + Adam Lambert announced that the tour will be postponed and rescheduled to 2021 with similar dates due to the coronavirus pandemic. While explaining, they made it clear that the choice was made in order to keep fans, band, and crew safe, also it was not a decision taken lightly.
However, Queen + Adam Lambert released a live album on October 2. Live Around the World album of Queen + Adam Lambert consists of live shows such as 02 Arena, London, Summer Sonic, Tokyo, Rock In Rıo, Lisbon. The compilation of concert highlights selected by Roger Taylor, Brian May, and Adam Lambert from over 200 shows.
While fans were disappointed by the delayed tour dates since nearly 400K tickets were sold across the tour, the Live Around the World album was a consolation and fans got the opportunity to take a glimpse into the tours.
Roger Taylor recently shared a post on his official Instagram page holding an award from the Official Charts Company. Taylor announced that the Live Around the World album made it to the top in the charts and became number one. He thanked the fans and stated that hopefully, the album made up for the postponed tour dates.
