Pink Floyd’s legendary bassist and co-lead vocalist Roger Waters made an announcement on his official Instagram account about the documentary of the band’s ‘Us + Them’ tour after having a feud with David Gilmour.

Not long ago, Roger Waters shared a video of himself talking about David Gilmour. He was upset by the fact that even though all the surviving band members had access to the official Pink Floyd website and could publish their own work, he was banned from the website by David Gilmour.

He was resentful towards David Gilmour about it:

“David thinks he owns it. I think he thinks that because I left the band in 1985 that he owns Pink Floyd, that he is pink Floyd… That I should just keep my mouth shut.”

For the first time after this incident, Roger Waters announced his 2017-2018 ‘Us + Them’ tour documentary by saying:

“ROGER WATERS: US + THEM, a film documenting the acclaimed 2017-2018 tour, comes to 4K, HD and SD Digital on June 16.”

He also added:

“Viewers on digital will have access to all-new post-feature content including two additional concert songs not included in the original feature (“Comfortably Numb” and “Smell the Roses”)

as well as A Fleeting Glimpse, a documentary short featuring behind-the-scenes moments from the tour. 🐖 📸: @kate.izor”

After reuniting with the band, Roger Waters went on a series of tours with Pink Floyd. ‘Us + Them’ tour was a mixture of Waters’ Pink Floyd materials as well as his solo work.

The name of the tour comes from the song titled ‘Us and Them’ from their famous album ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’. Roger Waters’ solo album ‘Is This the Life We Really Want?’ was also promoted during the tour.

The fans were quite excited about the news.
