The legendary drummer of Rush, Neil Peart has passed away at the age of 67. The official reports are saying that his cause of death is brain cancer. 

There’s no doubt, he was one of the most influential drummers of all time. Famous metal personality, Eddie Trunk has posted a little message after Neil Peart’s death by saying:

“Wow… speechless… Stunned… RIP Neil Peart”

Canadian comedian Russell Peters has posted a photo of Neil Peart and wrote an emotional letter about his death. Here’s what he wrote:

“As a fan, as a music lover, and as a Canadian, this really sucks… Neil Peart is/was always considered as one of the best drummers of all time and as a kid who always wished he could have learned to play drums, I’ve admired Neil and his talent since I was a child…

Unfortunately for me I never ever got to meet him but that doesn’t change how his passing feels… my condolences to his surviving family and to his bandmates @lifeson.alex @geddyimages”

And also, Jack Black has revealed his sadness after the death of Neil by writing on Twitter:

“The master will be missed – Neil Peart RIP #RushForever”
