The iconic frontman of the Canadian rock band Rush, Geddy Lee has reminded his fans of the ongoing auction, which was organized for the benefit of the Ontario hospitality industry and workers, while remarking the increasing COVID numbers in his hometown, Ontario.

As you may recall, the great musician Geddy Lee has announced that the Waddington’s and The Grapes for Humanity will host an online charity auction this year.

Called ‘Fine Wine Online Charity Auction,’ this event aims to help Ontario hospitality front-line workers through the Toronto Restaurant Workers Relief Fund; the Bartender’s Benevolent Fund; and independent Ontario restaurants.

Lee said that he and his bandmate, Alex Lifeson, have contributed wines, guitars, all signed, and experiences for this unique cause. He also asked his followers to help them help others during this critical and desperate time for so many.

As the auction is about to end, Geddy Lee has taken Instagram once again to say that it’s the last chance to take an action. He has thanked all who have generously bid on so many items, including guitars, bottles, and experiences.

Through the end of his statement, Lee has pointed out the fact that the COVID-19 numbers in Ontario climb again and they are bracing for a second wave that could further devastate the livelihoods of so many people in this besieged industry.

Here’s what Geddy Lee said in his latest Instagram post:

There are only a couple of days left before the close of the Grapes for Humanity/Waddington’s Fine Wine Online Auction to support the Ontario Hospitality Industry and Workers.

Thanks to all who have generously bid on so many items. Guitars, bottles, and experiences. As the COVID numbers in Ontario climb again, we are bracing for a second wave that could further devastate the livelihoods of so many people in this besieged industry.

The auction closes on Wed. Oct 7th in the early evening. So now is your chance to bid on something, at any price range. Help us help others! Thank you!”
