TV and radio personality, Eddie Trunk, recently a short clip from former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar and Mötley Crüe lead singer Vince Neil’s Led Zeppelin cover, ‘Rock and Roll,’ on his Instagram account.
As you might remember, Hagar and Neil had previously performed Led Zeppelin’s ‘Rock and Roll,’ which belongs to the band’s untitled fourth studio album known as ‘Led Zeppelin IV,’ on May 26, 2021, in Orlando. The duo’s cover was appreciated by both Mötley Crüe and Led Zeppelin fans.
After their successful performance, Hagar and Neil teamed up again for a private charity event in Austin on August 6, 2021. Mötley Crüe fans were wondering about the current situation of Vince Neil after he lost his voice in one of his previous concerts. Both Hagar and Eddie Trunk cleared the air about Neil’s voice by stating that he was great.
In his recent Instagram post, Trunk, the host of the event, continued to share footage from Hagar and Neil’s concert, specifically to prove Vince Neil’s return. The video consisted of the duo’s ‘Rock and Roll’ performance, and while some fans praised both musicians, others claimed that Vince Neil still can’t sing.
Eddie Trunk’s IG post read:
“Sammy Hagar and Vince Neil together. More from TX…
More video I shot of Sammy & Vince doing the encore in Austin on Thursday night of led zeppelin’s ‘Rock & Roll.’ The band was Joel Hoekstra, Dana Strum, Jeff Blando, and Will Hunt. Killer band…”
A fan responded:
“Vince should quit singing.“
Another fan’s comment read:
“That was actually the best I’ve heard Vince in years, I trashed him before on that show he canceled but he was better here.“
