The Circle frontman Sammy Hagar revealed how many Van Halen songs will appear on the band’s setlist in a comment below one of his Instagram posts.
Sammy Hagar is a musician who became a prominent figure in the metal scene his career in Van Halen. In 1985, he joined the band to replace David Lee Roth as the lead singer but left in 1996. The Red Rocker then rejoined Van Halen in 2003 and stayed until 2005. Although he was not a constant member of Van Halen, Hagar made great contributions to the band.
Apart from his career in Van Halen, Sammy Hagar worked with other bands and contributed to several artists as a solo musician. He is currently the lead singer of Chickenfoot and Sammy Hagar And The Circle. Formed in 2014, The Circle consists of Hagar, his Van Halen bandmate Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham, and Vic Johnson. Today, they still continue to make musical efforts.
With the recent video he posted on Instagram, Sammy Hagar announced that he will celebrate his birthday bash with The Circle. In the video, he stated that the event will take place on October 9, but fans can watch it live on Nugs.
Sammy Hagar said in the video:
“If you can’t make it to Catalina for the real deal, we’re gonna stream it live on October 9 at Nugs’ website.”
Upon seeing this, one of his fans wondered whether they will perform any Van Halen songs and commented that he can’t wait to see some Van Hagar. Sammy responded to this by revealing that there will be nine Van Halen songs on their setlist.
Sammy Hagar’s fan commented on the post as:
“I’ll be watching Sammy. Can’t wait to hear some Van Hagar. Love it.”
Hagar then responded:
“We have nine Van Hagar songs on the setlist now.”
As you know, Sammy Hagar is known for his legendary birthday bashes, which always took place in Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. However, this year’s birthday bash will take place in Catalina due to the pandemic just like it did last year.
