Former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar posted a video on Instagram preparing a cocktail and responded to a fan’s comment revealing whether he hated Van Halen’s ‘Balance’ album.
The legendary band Van Halen released its tenth studio album named ‘Balance‘ on January 24, 1995. Only a month later, the album reached number 1 on the U.S Billboard 200. It was the last one of the four Van Halen studio albums featuring Sammy Hagar as the frontman.
During the period of ‘Balance’s release Sammy Hagar and Eddie and Alex Van Halen were allegedly in an ongoing conflict. They had some disagreements about the songs in the album following by a medical issue regarding Sammy’s pregnant wife. Following their argument on the incident, Sammy was fired from the band. However, Eddie claimed that Sammy was the one who left the band.
Recently on Instagram, Sammy Hagar posted a video while preparing his cocktail using his own tequila named ‘Santo Spirit.’ However, the more interesting detail about Sammy’s post was his dialogue with a fan in the comment section.
A fan wanted him to play more from Van Halen’s ‘Balance’ album even though he disliked it. Apparently, Sammy’s attitude towards the album derived from the incidents they had during the recording period.
Here’s the question from Van Halen fan on Instagram:
“Sammy I know you dislike the album but you should consider playing more from Balance. Take Me Back Deja Vu and Crossing Over are underrated and would fit perfectly in your set.“
As a response to the fan’s comment Sammy wrote:
“I did not dislike the album I disliked what the band was going through at the time. Stay tuned the next lockdown track is from balance.👊“
Additionally, Sammy Hagar gave the good news of some new music he had been working on during the lockdown days. Apparently, his upcoming track will be from Van Halen’s ‘Balance.’
