The ex-frontman of Van Halen and the current vocalist of The Circle, Sammy Hagar has recalled the very early days of playing with Van Halen and called his dear bandmate, Michael Anthony, his partner in crime in the caption of a rare throwback photo.
The Red Rocker, who has recently said goodbye to his five-seasons-long TV show, ‘Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar,’ has taken Instagram with a heartwarming picture from the good old Van Halen days, showing his endless love and respect to his former band.
As you may remember, Hagar paid tribute to Van Halen on the final episode of his long TV journey a few days ago. The legendary musician culminated in the last episode of the program with a heartfelt performance of a Van Halen classic.
Days after he took on the stage to commemorate his old band, Sammy Hagar has shown up on Instagram with a photograph taken when Hagar and the bassist Michael Anthony, who played with Sammy within three amazing bands, Van Halen, Chickenfoot, and The Circle, performed during the Van Halen period.
Hagar has referred to Anthony as his partner in crime and indicated the picture as the evidence of that. As Sammy has crowned their enviable friendship with a special photo, Michael Anthony has appeared in the comment section of the post, describing themselves as two pals who are up to no good.
Here’s what Sammy Hagar said in his recent Instagram post:
“My partner in crime. Evidence going back to the early days.”
Michael Anthony responded as:
“Lookin like those two are up to no good!!! 👊”
