Former Van Halen lead singer Sammy Hagar recently shared a short video from a private event including Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil. Hagar reacted to a fan’s comment under his post which claimed that Neil can’t sing anymore.
As you may remember, the last performance of Vince Neil and his solo band took place on May 29, 2021, at the Boone Iowa River Valley Festival. They performed legendary Mötley Crüe songs such as ‘Kickstart My Heart,’ ‘Girls, Girls, Girls,’ and ‘Live Wire.’ The fans were happy about listening to the Crüe classics after years of waiting but were not that content with Neil’s performance.
The concert turned into a complete disaster after Vince Neil left the stage in the middle of singing ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’ and said that ‘my voice is gone.’ Following that, he was heavily criticized for losing his shape and ability to sing, and thus, decided to reschedule his concerts. The first event that he performed was a private charity event with Sammy Hagar on August 6, 2021, in Austin.
Sammy Hagar shared a part of Vince Neil’s performance in the concert on his Instagram account. After a fan commented that Vince Neil can’t sing anymore, Hagar responded to the fan by saying that ‘he was great tonight.’ Moreover, most of the fans praised Neil’s progress, and the host of the event, Eddie Trunk, also shared the video of his performance.
Also, Eddie Trunk posted a tweet to praise Vince Neil’s performance during the event. It seems that both Sammy Hagar and Eddie Trunk have guaranteed that Vince Neil’s return will make Mötley Crüe fans happy and satisfied, as they were very disappointed with his previous live concert.
Here’s what a fan wrote under Hagar’s Instagram post:
“Vince can’t sing anymore.”
Sammy Hagar responded:
“He was great tonight.“
Eddie Trunk’s tweet read:
“I can tell you with 100% honesty that Vince Neil sounded really good tonight live.
Mötley Crüe fans will be happy to know he’s made some great progress since vocal issues last show that made so much news. Arrow pointed up for sure! Video on my Instagram.”
Trunk captioned his IG post with the following words:
“Vince Neil tonight in Austin.
A private show I hosted tonight with Vince and Sammy Hagar!”
