Former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar has shared an interesting post on his official Instagram page, revealing a little-known truth about Van Halen’s history.

Sammy Hagar has revealed that guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, and bassist Michael Anthony all appeared in country singer Hank Williams Jr.‘s music video for the song ‘My Name Is Bocephus’ which is released in 1986.

In the caption of his post, Sammy said that many people didn’t know that Van Halen was part of the Hank Williams Jr. music video in 1986. He also said that being a part of it was a great experience.

Here’s what Sammy Hagar captioned:

“Not a lot of people know that in 1986 Van Halen were part of a Hank Williams Jr music video. It was a cool tune and a crazy scene.

Alex had just shaved his head, me and Mikey were shooting it like a cue ball – we all had a blast! #TBT”

Michael Anthony stopped in the comment section and said this:

“Hahahaha, that was a fun shoot!!”

An Instagram user named bakersfieldluvssammy commented and wrote this:

“The hair and clothes!! 😅😍 This video definitely looks like it could’ve been filmed at some honkytonk in Bakersfield in ‘86!! #allmyrowdyfriends”
