Former Van Halen vocalist and the current member of The Circle, Sammy Hagar, recently posted a photo of himself with Van Halen from the Van Hagar era, in which all the band members seem quite happy. This photo led to a series of questions from Van Halen fans, one of which Hagar was not able to answer.
Since Eddie Van Halen’s passing, Sammy Hagar has been reminiscing the old days even more than before. Although he left the band in 1996 after being Van Halen’s lead vocalist for 11 years, Hagar returned in 2003 for a two-year reunion. In fact, in late 2020, Sammy Hagar had revealed that he had been pushing for a reunion including David Lee Roth for ten years.
Although the reunion never happened, Sammy still likes posting photos from the Van Hagar era and recall the amazing times they had all together. Recently, he posted a photo, probably from their 5150 tour, in which all of the band members can be seen laughing. This photo was liked by thousands who expressed their longing for these amazing days.
Although Sammy managed to respond to some of the comments, there was one in specific that he struggled to find the words. A Van Halen fan asked Sammy Hagar to tell him his favorite song that he wrote with Van Halen. It seems like Sammy spent quite some time thinking about his answer but eventually, he just said that this is an ‘impossible question.’
Here’s what Sammy said in the caption of the Instagram post:
“Aaah finally found a shot where Mikey got the joke 😆 We took the backstage party onto the stage and shared it with the fans.”
This is what a Van Halen fan asked Hagar:
“Hey, Sammy! I’m a huge fan of yours and just finished reading your book. I have a quick question, what is your favorite song you wrote with Van Halen?”
To which Sammy responded:
“I‘m sorry impossible question.”
