Former Van Halen frontman, Sammy Hagar, recently posted a photo on his Twitter account and announced that he received his second shot while saying that although he dislikes shots, he wants to get back to his normal life and on stage without putting any of his loved ones at risk.

As you know Sammy is one of the rockstars who are the most active on their social media accounts. He especially uses Twitter to announce his upcoming projects both as a rockstar and an entrepreneur, and interact with his fans. He had expressed his sadness about not being able to perform on stage and travel multiple times on social media and it was apparent that he can’t wait for this pandemic to be over.

In fact, in mid-January, someone had sent a photo to Cabo Wabo for Sammy in which a doctor held a sign which read ‘I got the COVID-19 vaccine for Sammy Hagar’ and he was trying to figure out who that doctor was. Some fans had expressed their concerns about the vaccine and Sammy had said that he’s ‘not a vaccine advocate‘ and that he may not get it. However, it seems like he changed his mind as in his recent tweet he said that he just received the second shot.

In his tweet, Sammy Hagar said that he dislikes shots too but that he wants to get back on stage and travel the world without putting anyone around him at risk. Thus, the best solution was to get the vaccine and see what the future holds. His tweet received numerous comments most of which thanked Sammy for his update and said that he’s not just a rockstar but a role model too.

Here’s what Sammy Hagar said in the tweet:

“I dislike shots as much as anyone. But I want to get back to playing live concerts, traveling the world without putting anyone at any risk my family my friends, and myself included. “

This is what a fan commented:

“Rock on Sammy Hagar. Look at you being responsible and adult-like! All joking aside tho, you’ve probably just swayed against vaccine fans to go get theirs. Being a rock star and role model has more impact than people realize.”
