Van Halen’s legendary ex-frontman Sammy Hagar’s daughter and the creator of the Mukama Botanica movement, Kama Hagar, has shared her childhood photo and wrote a meaningful letter about the current status of America.

As Kama admitted that she’s born lucky, she also indicated her own perspective on the ongoing protests in America and exposed what she really thinks about the ‘Black Lives Matter’ motto.

This post got almost a thousand like in a short time and one of the users who liked the post was Sammy Hagar himself.

You can read the sincere letter of Kama Hagar below:

“My name is Kama Hagar and I may be the most privileged person I know.

Upon research, education and simply opening my eyes and ears to the world around me, I (the privileged) learn that black lives are the lives that have some of the deepest histories of oppression in this nation. This is why we say, “Black lives matter.” This is why this is the movement of focus.”

And she continued:

“During these times and always: advocating, donating, educating and voting for love, justice and equality is how I vow to use the privilege I was inherently born into. You can too – and you can be proud to do the same – what a privilege.

I just wrote a blog on the word that used to trigger me most. The same word that fully describes my social placement: privileged. In this blog, I have included resources for education and links for support and donation in the movement towards true justice, equality, and love. Link in bio.”
