Anthrax icon Scott Ian took to his official Instagram account to share a new post about legendary rock band AC/DC and created a controversy between the fans.

While almost every other musician is waiting for the end of the coronavirus outbreak to get back on the stage, AC/DC announced their new lineup for the upcoming concerts, which will be scheduled for the next year.

Angus Young and Brian Johnson are in the lineup alongside bass guitarist Cliff Williams, and they added Phil Rudd as a drummer instead of Chris Slade. Also, the band announced that Stevie Young will be the rhythm guitarist.

Even though Scott was so happy to see the new lineup of the legendary rock band with Phil Rudd behind the drum kit, some of the fans were against this idea. They stated that they would rather see Slade as a drummer of the band.

Here is what Scott Ian said:

“Phil Rudd ⚡️ Drums – That’s the best news I’ve heard in a long time!”

A fan named Chavez added this comment:

“I prefer Chris Slade on drums ✔️”

Another fan usernamed Metalfan21 wrote:

“I feel bad that Chris basically got the shaft from the boys. Especially after all the legal shit Phil has been going through.

As good of a player as Phil is I think they should have stuck with Chris.”

Although Chris Slade wasn’t picked as a drummer by the iconic rock band, he spoke in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine and claimed that he is still in the band.

In the conversation, Slade stated that there is nobody said goodbye to him or mentioned anything like that. Because of that, Slade called that he is the current drummer of AC/DC. Click here for the source.
