Skid Row’s former lead vocalist, Sebastian Bach, recently posted a tweet on his Twitter account and reacted to a tweet posted by the famous singer Bette Midler who characterized the late Prince Philip as a rockstar, and argued that they know exactly what it means to be a rockstar.

There is no doubt that Sebastian Bach is one of the rockstars who are the most active on their social media accounts. He often prefers to use his Twitter account to express his social and political views, announce his upcoming projects, talk on metal and rock music, and of course interact with other people.

As you know, The Duke of Edinburgh Prince Phillip passed away on April 9, 2021. His death was mourned by millions as he’d touched the lives of so many not only in the United Kingdom but throughout the world. Numerous musicians paid tribute to the Prince through their social media accounts and one of them was the well-known singer Bete Midler.

The fact that she described Prince Philip as a rockstar because they had to hold her back when she first met him, like the time she met Paul McCartney, caused the reaction of some musicians from the rock and metal scene, one of which was Sebastian Bach who commented under her tweet.

Sebastian Bach first asked Midler ‘what does that even mean’ and then went on to tell her that they know ‘exactly what it means.’ Then he posted one more tweet and said that if it makes sense to describe Prince Phillip as a rockstar, then it would make perfect sense for him to be characterized as ‘the King of England.’

Here’s what Bete Midler said:

“To me, Prince Philip was a Rockstar. I only saw him once and they had to hold me back, kinda like when I heard Paul McCartney at the Garden… I lost it. And what a marriage. We know nothing of it except that it was long and loyal. Rest In Peace.”

To which Sebastian Bach responded:

“Prince Philip was a Rock Star? What does that even mean? We know exactly what that means.”

And went on to say:

“If Prince Philip was a Rock Star, that makes me the King of England.”
