Sepultura and Andreas Kisser shared a post on Instagram, announcing that the rocker’s wife, Patricia Perissinotto Kisser, passed away at 52.
Since the beginning of its career in 1984, Sepultura has significantly impacted the music industry. They always tried to experiment with their music. The Brazilian influences they used set them apart from other heavy metal bands.
The fifteenth studio album of Sepultura named ‘Quadra‘ came out in 2020, but the pandemic disrupted their touring plans. Although the shows were rescheduled several times, the band was due to perform in March.
Andreas Kisser set out with the band members to support their new record. However, the excitement was short-lived, as the group recently announced that Kisser needed some time off and had to return home following a sudden family emergency.
The band shared the sad news about the death of Andreas Kisser’s wife, Patricia Perissinotto Kisser. They stated that Patricia would always be with them. They also thanked their fans for their love and support, asking for privacy during this challenging time.
The group’s IG story is as follows:
“It is with deep sadness that we have to share that Patricia Perissinoto Kisser passed away this morning. She will remain in our memories forever. We want to thank all our friends and family for all the support and messages of love. We ask for privacy during this difficult time.
Andreas Kisser, Giulia, Yohan e Enzo.”
