The legendary vocalist Ozzy Osbourne‘s wife Sharon Osbourne talked about the terrifying moment when Ozzy tried to murder her in the documentary named ‘The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne‘ and revealed why she decided to stay with him.
Black Sabbath icon Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne have been happily married since 1982. The couple has three children, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne.
As you might know, A&E Network released its much-anticipated biography series dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne named ‘Biography: The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne.’ The documentary portrayed the developments in the music career of Ozzy as well as the details of the darkest moments of his life.
During the TV documentary, Ozzy Osbourne revealed he actually tried to kill his wife while he was high on drugs. Fortunately, Sharon managed to press the panic button which made the police officers arrive to the house before Ozzy killed her. In his statement, Ozzy mentioned the only thing he remembered about that night was waking up in jail.
Sharon Osbourne also shared her side of the story during the documentary and mentioned what a frightening experience she had that night. She claimed that it was the most horrifying moment of her life since Ozzy was so high on drugs that he was not acting like himself.
Here’s what Sharon Osbourne described the horrible night:
“We’d had a couple of fights and you can tell it was building to something, you could just feel it. I just knew it was coming. It’s like night and day when Ozzy was on drugs. That’s it. He was very rarely calm, but at this moment he was. It frightened the shit out of me.
I had no idea who sat across from me on the sofa but it wasn’t my husband. He gets to a stage where he gets this look in his eyes where his shutters are down and I couldn’t get through to him.
He just says, ‘We’ve come to a decision that you’ve got to die.’ He was calm, very very calm and he lunged across at me.
I felt the stuff on the table and felt the panic button and just pressed it. Next thing I know the cops were there. It was probably the most frightened I’ve ever been.”
Additionally, Sharon Osbourne explained why she decided not to divorce Ozzy even after he tried to kill her by stating:
“I was looking at all the options left in my life. I was looking at everything. What is going to be the best for my kids? What is going to be the best for me?
I hated being without him. Ozzy was very frightened when he came out and when he was in his house, he definitely watched what he was doing. He frightened himself.”
