The wife of the iconic singer and television personality Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne has talked about the upcoming movie based on a section from Ozzy’s life and criticized Queen biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’

In a recent interview the Osbournes gave to the Rolling Stone, they have confirmed the Ozzy Osbourne biopic. The son of Ozzy, Jack Osbourne announced that the movie is in the very early production stages while revealing that they have a writer and plan to go from 1979 to 1996 for the plot.

As explained, the film will be about Sharon and Ozzy’s relationship and will span how they met, fell in love, and how they married. Showing how they grew up a lot with each other, the movie will tell a story that everybody can relate to, Sharon said.

She also added that it will be highly different than some other biopics as ‘Rocketman‘ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’ Sharon Osbourne said that she gets why a lot of people like the Queen biopic, which focused on the life of legendary singer Freddie Mercury.

She explained the fact that ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ appealed to a younger generation and it lacked the accurate timing of the real story, which made it not a great movie at all. Sharon said that their film will be a lot more real and will talk to the adults at all points.

Here is what Sharon Osbourne said about their upcoming film:

“It’s not like any other story. It’s not like, ‘Rock ‘n’ roll, crazy, and now I’m a granddad.’ It’s so much more than that.”

She also mentioned ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ as:

“I get why they did that – because it was for a younger generation. It was squeaky clean. It was, ‘Those songs will live forever,’ and it turned a whole generation onto Queen’s music that had never heard before. So with that, it was phenomenal.

But I don’t think it was a great movie. They changed the timing [of the story] and everything in it. That’s why it was, like, made ‘nice’ and that’s what made it a Hallmark movie.

Our film will be a lot more real. We don’t want it to be squeaky, shiny clean, and all of that. We’re not making it for kids. It’s an adult movie for adults.”
