Sir Elton John, one of the best selling artists of all time, shared a post on his official Instagram page opening up about his emotions after comedian and TV host Des O’Connor passed away.
Des O’Connor was a long-time TV show host since 1963 known for a number of shows he hosted, such as ‘The Des O’Connor Show,’ ‘Take Your Pick,’ and ‘Countdown.’ O’Connor also was a musician who recorded 36 albums, and had four top-ten UK singles.
Beloved Des O’Connor, unfortunately, passed away in hospital following a fall at his home at the age of 88, on November 14th.
After receiving the devastating news, Sir Elton John shared a picture from his appearance on O’Connor’s show back in 1998 and opened up about his feelings about losing a beloved friend. John praised O’Connor by stating that he was talented, extremely kind, and he loved working with him. John also shared his condolences with O’Connor’s family and friends.
