Skid Row guitarist Davo Sabo joined an interview with Chaoszine and talked about the experience of performing with Scorpions.
Scorpions have impacted the rock music scene with their songs and performances since the beginning of their career in 1965. They inspired many musicians like Guns N’ Roses, Skid Row, and Eddie Van Halen.
In March 2022, Scorpions launched their headlining show ‘Sin City Nights’ in Zappos Theatre, and Skid Row was their special guest in the show. Dave Sabo mentioned in a previous interview that Scorpions had not gained the attention they deserve, although they devoted themselves to what they’ve done.
During a recent interview, Dave Sabo explained the experience of playing with Scorpions in the show. The guitarist said that they were so careful in playing and songwriting that it was an incredible memory to perform with them.
According to Sabo, they’ve always been in the highest position in what they do, and they deserve to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He also added that he likes Scorpions’ new song ‘Rock Believer.’
Dave Sabo explained in his words:
“Unbelievable. Scorpions are one of the greatest bands to exist, and it’s criminal that they’re not on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They are a machine, man. When they play, it’s like they are so meticulous about their instrumentation and their songwriting.
Everything about them is top-notch. It’s top-tier. They sound as good as they’ve ever sounded. I love their new song, ‘Rock Believer.’ I think it’s a killer track. They still have that fire.”
Dave Sabo also stated that performing with Scorpions taught them to strive to be their best version. As the rocker explained, the band did their best to be at the top of their game while playing with a deeply admired band.
“It was a great learning experience once again to really push ourselves to our peak performance. For us, it was like, ‘Oh my gosh, we’ve got to really be on top of our game,’ which we were.”
