Longterm girlfriend of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, Meegan Hodges shared a short video clip of Slash in the studio on her official Instagram page and fans assumed it was a, hopefully, Guns N’ Roses project while Hodges revealed the truth in the comments section.
Over a week ago, guitarist Slash and Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello collaborated on a project where they both turned into their ‘Guitar Hero’ versions for an epic guitar duel over Morello’s new song ‘Interstate 80’ from his new EP ‘Comandante.’
Meegan Hodges recently shared a clip from the video of that legendary duel on her official Instagram page and revealed that Slash is once again in the studio, recording new music. Fans immediately started to think the new project may be related to Guns N’ Roses and one fan commented on the post stating that fans need a new Guns N’ Roses project.
Here is what the fan said:
“Guns? Please tell me its Guns… We need Guns after 2020.”
Another fan answered the statement and revealed that the video is from Tom Morello and Slash duel over Morello’s new song.
Here is what the other fan said:
“That’s from Tom Morello‘s new song.”
There has been confusion about whether Slash is actually working on a new song or if he is making a new project with Guns N’ Roses, or it was just a throwback post from the past project with Tom Morello.
Due to this chaos, Meegan Hodges shared a comment on her post and cleared the situation up by revealing that the video is from the Tom Morello duel yet Slash is, indeed, working in the studio for a brand new record not for Guns N’ Roses, but for Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirations.
Here is what Hodges commented:
“This video is the one I took for that video. But he is still in the studio making a record! #SMKC”
