Slayer and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt showed how excited he is to get back on the road again by sharing a new post on his official Instagram account.
About ten days ago, the iconic guitarist announced on social media that he decided to quit alcohol and started being sober since then. Yesterday, he talked about his mental after passing the first week without alcohol.
In the caption, Gary pointed out that he has been doing his psychical therapy to keep his mental health safe and mentioned that it also helped him to boost his intensity of playing.
Furthermore, Gary pointed out that there is a little bit of pain, which is tolerable for him, and said that there are barely any problems he faced since quitting alcohol. Also, Gary stated in the post that it helped him to sleep better.
Gary Holt wrote:
“Feeling good! Been doing my physical therapy and it’s going killer, got the go-ahead to ramp up my intensity on the playing, actually riffing along to full songs, pain is tolerable, barely any issues, bending big notes again, getting ready to return to that stage!
And since I quit drinking I’ve never slept so good in years! Crazy! Feeling amazing, getting my hand strength back a little at a time. Pumped!”
