Slayer and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt has taken his verified Instagram account today to celebrate the legendary late star Lemmy Kilmister‘s birthday by sharing his life story.

You might already remember that Lemmy Kilmister was one of the most iconic musicians of his era and also known as the founder of the legendary British rock band Motörhead. Lemmy has passed away from this world at the age of 70 back in 2015, after being diagnosed with prostate cancer only two days before his death.

After sharing the post, almost 30K people pushed the like button to share their condolences to the iconic late star of Motörhead. Just like others, Rob ‘The Metal God’ Halford liked the post to celebrate Lemmy’s 75th birthday five later after his death.

In addition, Gary himself did not forget to tag and pay tribute to his old-time friend buddy Rogerio Souza who sent the original post on his own Instagram account.

Here is what’s written on the photo he has shared:

“In Staffordshire England, a child was born. They swaddled him in black leather and lay him upon the bar. Three wise men came bearing whiskey, Marlboros, and a bass.

They named him Lemmy and he became a god.”

Gary Holt added this in the caption of his post:

“Happy birthday Lemmy! RIP! Borrowed this from Rogerio Souza.”
