Slayer and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt has posted a new photo on his verified Instagram account today and paid his tribute to legendary boxer Marvelous Marvin Hagler who passed away from this world yesterday.

Marvelous Marvin Hagler had born in Newark, New Jersey in 1954 and he was considered one of the most talented middleweight boxers of all time. In his 20 years of career, he fought 67 boxers and managed to knock out 52 opponents. He just lost 3 matches in his long-time career and had 2 draws. Hagler has passed away from this world at the age of 67 as his wife Kay has announced recently.

In his latest Instagram post, Slayer legend Gary Holt showed his respect to Marvin by calling him the greatest middleweight fighter of history. After sharing the post, almost 10K followers of Holt have pushed the like button including Dream Theater and Sons of Apollo drummer, Mike Portnoy.

Here is what Holt wrote in the caption:

“RIP Marvelous Marvin Hagler, possibly the greatest middleweight boxer of all time. Held his belt for seven straight years as the undisputed champion.

Fought wars against legends in the most competitive era in boxing. People who didn’t witness it, wouldn’t understand it. Thanks for the memories.👊🏻”
