Former Slayer member and the current Exodus guitarist Gary Holt shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing his emotions after being away from the stage for the past year, apparently, Holt stated that it has been the longest time since he snapped his neck to some riffs.
As many of you may know, due to the restrictions and precautions against the coronavirus pandemic, live performances in front of a live audience look like a distant memory nowadays. While fans missed seeing their favorite artists on stage, musicians and bands also cannot wait to be on stage to perform for their fans.
In order to prevent the distance from growing, most musicians and bands have been performing live via streaming online. Despite the fact that we all are now used to live online, concerts, unfortunately, do not have the same feeling when they are online.
Recently, Gary Holt shared a picture on stage on his official Instagram page expressing his feelings about the possibility of being onstage once again after being away throughout the whole 2020. Holt stated that it’s been the longest time since he has not been headbanging to some guitar riffs and music.
Here is what Holt said:
“2020, here’s the middle finger aimed your way! And here’s to me actually putting in a guitar on stage again in 2021! I’ve never gone this long without snapping my neck to some riffs in my life, I hope my head doesn’t fall off when that first drum beat starts upon my return to a live stage! It just may happen!”
