The lead vocalist and also lyricist of Slipknot and Stone Sour, Corey Taylor, has posted a new video on his official Instagram account and shared the details of his first-ever live show after several months and the self-quarantine days.
While COVID-19 affects our daily routine and whole lifestyle, the quarantine had also a noteworthy impact on the music industry. In 2020, many of the music events, concerts, and festivals have been postponed or canceled by the bands and managers.
However, some of the musicians are trying to find the best way to protect their fans’ health and be able to play on stage again at the same time. Corey Taylor has been able to make his first show after many times for which he allows only 12 lucky fans to join his ‘secret’ concert to play the latest songs from his first debut album named ‘CMFT.’
As Corey detailed how he was feeling during the concert, he also did not forget to mention the main reason for being on the stage so many months later. According to Corey, they wanted to raise money for the Sweet Relief Musicians Foundation, which aims to help healing musicians and music industry workers in need.
Here is what Slipknot’s Corey Taylor has shared today:
Unbelievable feeling being back in front of a crowd, even if it was only 12 people! Last week’s socially distanced secret show in LA was a blast.
We played live music again and raised money for the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. Thanks to everyone who donated and thanks to our winners who made it out for the special night.
