Slipknot percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan spoke in a recent interview with Minneapolis radio station 93X and talked about their upcoming album.

As you might remember, the iconic band Slipknot released their latest album back in 2019, We Are Not Your Kind, but they couldn’t promote it in the tours due to the coronavirus outbreak.

In early 2021, Slipknot members revealed that they are working on new materials following the release of Corey Taylor’s solo album, and Clown confirmed last month that they are recording a brand new album.

In the conversation, Clown talked about this upcoming album once again and revealed that they are going to part ways with their long-time label company, Roadrunner Records, after the album comes out.

Here is what Shawn Clown Crahan said:

“I just think what we’re doing now is really… There’s a lot of things going on. One, we’re getting off our label. And I feel free. It’s got nothing to do with what’s next. It’s just got to do with, ‘Get the hell away from me.’

“But we still have a lot of time to complete this. We’re hoping to be done by the end of July. ”
