The talented frontman of Slipknot and Stone Sour, Corey Taylor, had a new interview with Rock Feed and revealed his real thoughts about the music career of his beloved son, Griffin Taylor.
As you might already know, Griffin Taylor sings in his band named Vended for a while alongside Corey’s bandmate Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan’s son, Simon Crahan.
While Corey is spreading beautiful words to his son and the music he plays, he also revealed how he admires him, sharing the details of how Griffin had tough days due to dyslexia and dyscalculia.
Here is what Corey told:
“They are incredible. We were right there, side of the stage – I was bawling. I’m so fucking stoked for him, man. Like, I’ve never seen him really come into his own before, and that, you could just see him fucking bloom.
You could see how at home, just himself. I mean, as a father, you want that for your kid, especially when you can see how hard he works, how seriously he takes it, how much time, you know?”
He continued:
“And this is a kid; you have to understand, he struggled with not only dyslexia, dyscalculia, so he really has a hard time reading, writing, and yet he made himself get better so he could write his own lyrics, so he can read his own work, just to feel his own writing.
And to see him do that, to really rise above his hardships like that because he believed in his art that much, and to see him go from that to that show, I mean, we were fucking so stoked. We flew in just for the show; we flew back specifically to see it.”
