Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor had a recent interview with BBC and revealed a never-told-before story about his childhood.

Corey revealed how he had to walk almost 6 miles trip to buy Metallica’s “The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-Revisited” in 1987.

Here is what Corey said:

“I walked 6 miles to buy it. I didn’t even crack the plastic until I got to my house. I stared at it for 6 miles going, ‘what’s it going to sound like?’, What’s it going to sound like?’ ,

I got to my house, put it in my beat up a ghetto blaster and listened to it none stop for six months. I memorized that tape.”

During the same interview with BBC, Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has revealed his thoughts on the grunge scene.

He mentioned about one of the famous Alice In Chains songs, Would!, and paid respect to their masterpiece album called ‘Dirt’.
