Corey Taylor, the lead vocalist and lyricist of the iconic band Slipknot, recently made an interview with GQ Magazine revealing the story behind his tattoos and shared the video on his official Twitter page. Taylor also strictly stated that he will never consider a face tattoo.
Corey Taylor has a long successful music career started with a band named Stone Sour which he founded with drummer Joel Ekman in 1992. Five years after, Taylor left the band and became a member of the legendary band Slipknot. Besides being a frontman of Slipknot, Taylor also worked as a guest musician with successful bands like Apocalyptica, Steel Panther, and Soulfly.
Slipknot’s frontman Corey Taylor is also known for his numerous tattoos besides his music career. During an interview with GQ Magazine, Taylor opened up about his tattoos and revealed his first tattoo that he gave himself with a needle and ink to his Heath Ledger Joker tattoo.
Since there is a huge difference between having so many tattoos on your body and having a tattoo on your face, Taylor is asked about getting a face tattoo. His first reaction was to nod his head but in a way of a huge no. Taylor stated that a face tattoo is similar to nipple piercings and he will never get one.
Here is what the interviewer asked:
“Would you ever consider getting a face tattoo?”
Here is how Taylor responded:
“Never. I get it you know. A face tattoo is no different than a nipple piercing from 20 years ago, 30 years ago anyway. You end up looking like a shitty notebook from high school.”
