Corey Taylor, the vocalist of Slipknot, updated his fans with a video on Instagram about his health status after contracting COVID-19. The metalhead thanked his fans for their support and revealed that he has never been sicker in his life.

As you may know, Corey Taylor recently announced that he contracted COVID-19 and had to cancel his touring because of this. The fans were sad to see his ‘CMFT’ tour canceled because they had been looking forward to it since its release in October 2020.

Nonetheless, even though the musicians and their touring crew take all the necessary precautions, there is always a chance to get the virus, which was unfortunately the case for Taylor. However, being vaccinated can help prevent the worst-case scenario from coming true, and this is what Corey stated in his recent Instagram update.

In the video, he talked about how his symptoms are not severe anymore and how he is getting much better every day. Although he is still testing positive, he thinks it won’t take long until he tests negative and starts performing again. He also didn’t forget to state that being vaccinated helped him get through the disease with mild symptoms and admitted that it’s the worst sickness he has ever been through, even with the vaccine.

Here is Corey Taylor’s update about his health condition:

“Hey everybody. I just wanted to give you an update. First of all, I hope that everybody’s well out there. Second, I am out of the woods. I am still positive, but the fever’s gone, aches are gone. Sweating everything out, I am still congested, but I am slowly but surely making my way. It shouldn’t be too much longer before I test negative. I mean that’s great.

I wanted to say thank you very much to everyone who sent their best wishes and to all my friends and family who had reached out. You’ve no idea how much that means to me. I also wanted to say that because I was vaccinated, I truly believe that is what helped me get over the break. I mean, this is the worst I have ever been sick in my life. Had I not been vaccinated, I shudder to think how bad it would have been. But because I had that extra little bit of protection, man, it definitely helped me get through it, so go go go. If you’re still on the fence, I am telling you right now it’s the best thing you can do for yourself. Count the days down, and hopefully, I will see you guys soon. Take care of yourselves, stay safe.”

Musicians like Nikki Sixx, Doyle W. Von Frankenstein, Tanner Wayne, and John 5 commented on the video showing their happiness for his recovery. His fans also reacted, and some stated that it is very nice of him to set an example for anti-vaxxers, while others noted that nobody should get the vaccine just because their favorite musician told them to do so.
