On his official Instagram account, Slipknot and Stone Sour guitarist, Jim Root, has posted an unseen photo of him with Joshua Homme, who is the lead singer of Queens Of The Stones Age, and shared his feelings about him.

In the caption area, Jim paid his respect to Joshua for being a huge influence on himself. We all know that Jim is one of the primary songwriters of Slipknot and Stone Sour, and apparently, he got a lot of inspiration from the songwriting skills of Joshua.

Here’s what Jim wrote:

“This pic means a lot to me. I haven’t had many run-ins with Joshua, but I look up to him as an artist, musician, guitarist, and songwriter. He’s a rare breed and my days are made better by that.”

A fan named Mr. Zombie commented:

“I never understood how Queens Of The Stone Age wasn’t the biggest band in the world. It’s such intensive, yet the heavy, hard rock. Like do you ever hear a riff and think ‘fuck I wish I had thought of that?’ That’s every QOTSA songs.”

Jim agreed with the fan and wrote to him:

“One hundred percent!”

As you see, Jim completely agreed with what Mr. Zombie said on his comment, which means Jim is one of the people who think QOTSA is the biggest rock band in the world.
