The glam metal band Steel Panther recently posted a photo on their official Instagram account and paid tribute to the world-famous television and radio host who recently passed away due to COVID–19.
As you know, Steer Panther are known for their humorous and profane lyrics alongside their exaggeration of the ‘glam metal’ lifestyle. Their most recent album ‘Heavy Metal Rules‘ was released in 2019 and although it was enjoyed by some, it generally received mixed reviews.
Steel Panther had achieved great success in the 2010s with their humorous approach to metal culture and lifestyle, and had had the chance to perform on the same stage with Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, and even open for Guns N‘ Roses in 2011. Aside from playing with famous bands, Steel Panther also went on numerous TV shows.
As you may recall, in 2015, Steel Panther was a guest at the ‘Larry King Now‘ show and it was a memorable night for the band. Larry King is one of the world’s best-known TV hosts, and millions of people all around the world have appreciated his work. His fans were heartbroken when they found out that he had been hospitalized in late December 2020, after testing positive for COVID–19.
While his fans were expecting to hear good news from Larry King, on January 23, they found out that King had lost the battle against COVID-19. Steel Panther were one of the many who mourned his passing and with their recent Instagram post, they bid farewell to the King of the television while saying that they are grateful to have had a chance to hang out with him some years ago.
Here’s what Steel Panther said in the caption of their Instagram post:
“RIP to the legend, Larry King.
Incredibly grateful we had a chance to hang with you a few years back.”
